About Tracy McEwen Pottery
Tracy McEwen Pottery produces a diverse number of items; from functional tableware to whimsical home, garden and office furnishings. Functional pieces include: teapots, mugs, plates, bowls, spoon rests, and jugs. Ceramic furnishings include: vases, mirrors, napkin rings, candle holders, house number plates, and door and drawer pulls.
Tracy works with numerous design motifs including: abstract, geometric, and a series of insects (dragonflies, butterflies, beetles, honeybees, and spiders).
Her work is characterized by attention to detail; each piece is decorated fully in glorious colour and is unique but with universal appeal, from abstract to high realism in the entomologically correct insect depictions with Latin species nomenclature.
All pieces, whether tableware or furnishings, are handmade and are the result of years of design and fabrication practice. Each unique piece is made to order and bears Tracy's signature and date of creation.
